There are many vegetarian and non vegetarian sources of protein and the people wanting to follow a high protein diet can choose the one they want. Before you begin dieting, it is important that you formulate a meal plan for yourself and follow it for the given period of time.
Your breakfast may include two scrambled or boiled eggs, two slices of toasts, half a cup of low fat milk, a sausage link and a small amount of grapes or orange. The lunch must comprise of the two slices of whole wheat bread, three ounces of chicken salad, a cup of vegetables, unsweetened coffee or tea. You can also include tuna salad in your lunch and a small cup of almonds. For dinner a cup of green beans, broccoli or spinach provides enough of protein along with four ounces of beef, lean chicken or fish. Make sure your food has minimum fat content. A dinner of cauliflower and broccoli mixed with salmon can also be taken. Another thing to remember is to completely avoid junk food while you are on the high protein diet as the fat and salt content present in the junk food mars the healthy proteins that you consume for weight loss.
You can also try dividing your meals into six per day. Go for snacks that are rich in protein and stay away from things that contain saturated oils and fats. Make sure your carbohydrate intake is low as it may discourage weight loss.
